Location: Kingston (117 Mary’s Ave, Suite 202, Kingston, NY) & Poughkeepsie (21 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY)

This position provides front end administrative support to our multi-physician Practice including greeting and checking in patients, insurance verification, chart preparation and triaging incoming phone calls.  The incumbent will gather and enter appropriate demographic and insurance information via phones calls and in person as patients call to schedule, arrive for or leave after their appointments.  This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced medical office environment.  This position works directly with our patients, nursing staff, technologists and physicians.

About the Position

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, and will work from our Kingston and Poughkeepsie offices.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Medical office or schooling related to the health care field strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of health care billing/reimbursement process strongly preferred
  • Previous customer service experience providing face to face customer interaction preferred
  • Experience multi-tasking in a busy office environment preferred
  • High School graduate or equivalent required

This position provides intermediate medical billing support.  The incumbent will gather and enter appropriate demographic and insurance information, respond to patient billing inquiries, work directly with insurance companies to ensure proper reimbursement for medical services and performs necessary claims follow-up. This position accurately posts charges and works within AthenaHealth and pMD assisting with follow-up by contacting insurance carriers to resolve denied claims.

About the Position

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, located in our Glens Falls office with occasional travel to our Albany, NY office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical billing office, surgical practice preferred
  • CMBS, CMRB or CPC preferred
  • High School graduate or equivalent with formal billing training preferred
  • Previous customer service experience, patient accounts receivables and billing related issues
  • Previous medical insurance reimbursement experience with focus on ICD10 and CPT coding

We are looking to add a LPN to our growing Practice!  This position provides nursing support to our providers by providing patient information that impacts the planning, directing, providing and evaluating of patient care. The LPN will serve as a direct care nurse to patients within our Kingston and Poughkeepsie offices. Responsibilities include document patient history, obtain & accurately record patient vital signs, document chief complaints and record patient medications and allergies on medication list.  Prepare the patient and necessary supplies for the examination.  Act as liaison between patients, families, referring physicians and other health care workers to ensure that all information is communicated effectively.

About the Position

The candidate must be flexible with working in both office locations (Kingston & Poughkeepsie).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year previous LPN experience
  • Current licensure of Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Office experience preferred in a surgical and/or primary care setting required
  • Experience with AthenaHealth a plus

This part-time position provides nursing support within the procedure suite.  This is demonstrated by the use of the nursing process to work collaboratively with the health-care team in planning, directing, providing and evaluating patient care.

The Vascular Group is seeking a qualified applicant for a position in our Vascular Lab.  We are looking for a Registered Vascular Technologist to perform a variety of noninvasive diagnostic procedures to detect vascular disease.  Including but not limited to duplex ultrasound examinations, pulse volume recordings, segmental Doppler pressure measurements, and treadmill stress studies. This position will complete necessary documentation of tests including reports for hospital and laboratory records, billing forms and laboratory logs. Review patient assessment of signs and symptoms including documentation of patient’s medical and surgical history, medications, and presenting symptoms.

About the Position

This is a full time position that will perform testing at various on-site locations (Vascular Clinic/ Lab, Nursing Units, ER, OR, etc.) and is responsible for the transportation of lab equipment from the vascular laboratory vehicle to and from the various satellite locations.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a vascular laboratory or two years’ experience in a vascular laboratory plus five years’ experience in a general ultrasound department.
  • Successful completion of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography registry examination in both Vascular Technology and Vascular Ultrasound Principles, thus attaining the certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Able to effectively communicate on a wide range of issues in an age-appropriate manner with patients, staff and visitors.
  • Must be able to coordinate resources with patient demands; sets priorities for work assigned and achieves desired results.
